It had being a Warship back in the day, now, it was closer to a cargo ship than anything else, the model was old and slightly busted, even with a few good repairs and a paint job, if one was careful you could see the scars of the war as clearly as in any other veteran, despite of which it was long and slick, obviously fast if needed, anyone who knew it could tell it was one of the fastest ships available if you had the money, the prow of it almost resembled a head, long and forward, old faded paint adding fangs and eyes to it, reminiscent of a Fighter ship, the cockpit’s glass clear on top of it, giving its pilot a good vision of what lay ahead.

All long and built with dark metal, its four turbines almost resembling folded wings when it wasn’t flying, hence its name, long piston held ‘legs’ holding it up from the ground, the cargo entrance being the only one open at the moment, letting their precious cargo of ‘Bubblehead dolls’ if one was to believe the writing on top of the boxes, be examined by the ‘buyer’…

The man was small, almost rat looking, Captain Wolf would had guessed him an enhanced if it wasn’t because the man smelled so bad it could only be the stench of man in him, even rats wouldn’t smell like that, plus, the guy seemed to have a natural dislike for the enhanced, Brandon figured the dislike was mutual.

So there he stood, in between the boxes as the sun glowed outside, in the Docks of Persephone, usually he would had demanded at least a few of his crew to be there with him, but here in a ‘Civilized planet’ he doubted the small crooked fellow would pull anything on him, despite the fact Ratchet (As he was known) had brought two muscular and silent types with him

“Is this all?” The small man eyed the boxes suspiciously, as if it wasn’t enough, their real cargo was actually just a few pounds heavy, so the Captain didn’t get why he seemed so annoyed about the fact.

Brandon sighed softly before looking at them “If you expected more, take it with the Twins…
I only agreed to take this from point A to point B, ‘Rat’”

The thugs seemed impatient and edgy, he didn’t like these new guys, whoever they were, and their little leader was in a foulest mood than usual, plus he didn’t like the ‘nickname’…

“That’s another mistake on your part ‘half-breed’” Ratched squealed sharply.

Brandon’s hand instinctively moved to the hilt of his weapon, his eyes still focused on the guards more than the annoying little fellow, he knew ‘Rat’ enough to know he wouldn’t get into an unnecessary fight unless he had overwhelming odds; he was a businessman after all “You gonna take your stuff now or do I need to find new buyer?”

Across the bridge towards the exit, Knightess perched across the bar leading down towards the rickety double-doors of the Dragonfly, her keen eyes watching the boxes with partial awe and quiet knowing. She was sat on the bridge floor's grate, swinging her legs like a curious child over the side, watching the Captain bring in the goods. The cyborg was never enthused about encroaching on Ratchet's territory – it wasn't that she was afraid of him; she just found him excessively dull.

Even thinking about it made the mechanic stifle a yawn. She leaned against the bars, eyes wide with curiosity, tilting her head to one side as she waited patiently.

Ty sat nearby laughing to herself. Her golden eyes watched the rat like man. She thought he was funny looking. Her tail moved as if she were to pounce. Her shorts were faded and warn, as was her black shirt. She jumped from her perch having herd everything. "No need for the sword yet captain..." her laughed stopped now as she watched the boxes with a smile.
She looked at the captain and turned away for a moment, "on second thought a little blood never hurt anyone"

Ty laughed and went back to waiting, her eyes seemed to close yet she could hear everything.

The Rat wasn't the only one that had brought silent muscle. A dark man with a sinister expression on his face stood silent just behind the captain. With his black trench coat draped over his broad shoulders and dark sunglasses on his cold eyes the man was more frightening than the two with the Rat put together. It was hard to tell exactly, but to someone looking closely a red ring was faintly visible in each eye behind the man's shades. A well-worn hand rested firmly upon the pistol holstered on his right hip as he regarded the deal with his own brand of indifference.

Daven already knew exactly where he'd shoot the impatient guards if either of them tried anything. A knee to the face would drop the Rat quickly enough, just to keep him from issuing any orders, then the men would only get a couple of steps in either direction before he put a bullet between their eyes. His cybernetic eyes had already calculated a number of scenarios that might take place for a sour deal. The longer they stood there, the more options he created. These petty fools didn't stand a chance. Despite himself, a slight grin curled his lips, giving him an even darker appearance.

While the rest of the team was out 'playing', a man sat in the 'med-bay' on a chair, looking over at the arm of a crew member. It was obviously broken. His hair was messy as he ran a hand through it, messing it up even more, and his eyes slightly narrowed as he inspected the arm.

"Really, Jesus. N-No need for you to do anything. I c-can just-"

    Crack!

    "YEEEEOOUUWWWWW!"

The crew member let out a howl as the medic set his arm straight forcefully. "There. Good to go." Jesus said roughly as he turned in his chair and grabbed a long piece of wood. He inspected it, deemed it clean enough and put it on the now set arm and wrapped some bandages around it. Moments later the crew member left sobbing, holding his painful arm.

Jesus stood up and grabbed a wrench, putting it in his tool belt and frowned. When were they done already? He had to bother the Cap'n about the parts he requested a week ago.

Knightess offered Ty a small, unsure smile; the enhanced humanoid made no secret of the fire in her blood – in some ways, it was better to see someone so alive, as opposed to the stone statue beside her in the form of Daven. His grin was full of blood-lust, so entrenched with preparation that it made the cyborg unable to glance away instantly. It made her unsure as to who would be the one to tip the scale of Rat's patience.

    She would have preferred neither.

The loud howl beyond the bridge didn't startle her; after a month of cracks, gurgles and other unpleasant sounds, they had stopped being a novelty. Knightess grinned at the thought and turned over, hanging upside-down from the bridge-bars, continuing to watch Ratchet and the Captain.

Ty smiled and nodded to the girl and looked back in the distance, she couldn't help but laugh a little. Her look was that of playfull amusment.

"I guess I'll start, my names ty. " her tail swayed as she stood up. Her ears perking up as she smiled showing her fangs as she did. Her hands went to dust her legs off as she looked at the crew. "This can't be everyone is it?" Her voice almost purred as she spoke her eyes looked to the rat man, "please tell me he isn't going.... yet a game of cat and mouse sounds fun right about now..." her gold eyes watched impatiently.

    “I’m afraid he is…
Unless Ratchet would like to continue arguin’ with the messenger instead of the guys that actually made the deal with him” The Captain decided to finish the conversation while he held the high ground, the arrival of most of his crew had surprised and intimidated Ratchet’s ‘muscle’, which would keep them from doing anything stupid and he knew the little vermin well enough to know he would complain to the Twins but they wouldn’t listen to him… much.

Brandon walked away then, directing himself towards the inward of the ship, their home, ignoring any possible protest from Rat.

The little businessman hadn’t quite finished yet, but seeing himself so far away from his own lair and now with obvious numerical and physical disadvantage, Daven was quite impressive after all, but the bounty hunter he could deal with, he knew his language, money, the women however, he found uncomfortable, not his type, especially for their propensity to violence, so he decided to cut his loses while he could “I’ll call the Twins and sent my people to pick up the cargo”

With that, Ratchet made his way out of the cargo area by the big door…

Ty laughed to herself as he walks away flashing her teeth once more. Almost disapointed that she couldn't have some fun with the rat. Her eyes returned to follow the captian. She stood and streched out making wimpers of enjoyment before walking in behind him boarding what she would now call home.

Ty's long red hair fell gracefully behind her head as she took a hair tie from her pocket putting her hair up in a ponytail. Her ears stood out, ears like the tiger she was enhanced with. She could hear things normal humans couldn't, and she had great balance, she was quiet with her walk and so far never caught... so far.
She was almost cat like in her features her fangs were sharp and white, and she even had the tail of a tiger. For 24 she could pass for 19. A playful smile on her lips as she took a set near the wall almost relaxing as she waited for the rest.

When Brandon and the remains of Dragonfly's band boarded, the cyborg relinquished her grip on the bars, landing on the floor and offering them a faint wave. She tilted her head, observing Ratchet's retreating back.

'Please come again!' she piped with a grin, before yawning and stretching, attempting to brush her fingers against the ceiling. She paused a moment before glancing at Ty, her cheekiness only rising with the ship's liberation of the ratty businessman. The enhanced being made no secret of her feline tweaks.

'If I threw you a bundle of wool, would you chase it?'

Daven remained where he was but a moment longer before finally moving from his spot. He took a single quick step towards one of the Rat's men, just as the man was about to leave the ship, and was pleased to see him flinch before frowning and quickly following his boss. Daven allowed himself a small grin before his face settled back to its usual look of indifference. He didn't wait for anyone else to move or speak, barely even offering the captain, his "boss" a slight glance before turning and climbing a staircase out of the cargo hold. He moved quickly across a catwalk and disappeared through the door that lead to his small shuttle. The room he entered was small and modest, only large enough for the small table tucked in one corner and the bed that took up most of the interior room. A small doorway lead to the cockpit to his right. There were no decorations and nothing was polished or made to look any nicer than what it was. The shuttle spoke of functionality and it was obvious it only served a single purpose.

The wall between his bed and his table was covered from top to bottom in guns that hung from a steel-mesh screen with adjustable hooks. The exact number of guns he had there was difficult to gauge simply because of the sheer volume of weapons he kept on the screen. A particularly well kept sniper rifle hung in the very center of the wall and was even offered a bit of empty space between it and the other guns, as if he feared anything happening to that particular weapon. He took the pistol from his hip and hung it on the empty hooks within arms reach of his bed and moved to sit at his table, glancing casually at a computer screen covered with a list of potential jobs he could take as long as they stayed on the planet

Jesus looked through the shipment order of the parts he needed to reinforce and upgrade the ship. He muttered underneath his moustache as he tapped on the screen and moved certain things out of the way to get to the order he wanted.

He looked up and saw Brandon approaching as he came from the cargo bay, stopped, then walked with him.

"Cap'n. When we pickin' up thees damned parts already? The sequence flux needs to be re-calibrated and I can't do this without a Portable Array Sentire Edition." He handed Brandon the device which showed the expensive costs of the equipment and some other parts they desperately needed.

Ty laughed and lookedat her with amusment " tiger... not house cat. I don't do cat toys" she stated as she put her hands behind her head. She closed her eyes for a moment and laughed some more, "I just enjoy a few jokes here and there... and can't resist the erge to make a rat twitch" was her last words as she yawned looking around.

Her eyes scanned the room where she was in making sure she knew everything she needed to. Her curiousity rose with every second they weren't moving. The captian picked her for a reason so she knew she would have good work. Her only fear was running into her past.

“Told ya there ain’t much I can do without coin, can I?
What we have will have ta do till then” The Captain grumbled just a bit as he shot his answer at Jesus, he didn’t minded his enthusiasm, and he was always pestering him about improvements, but it was rather difficult to improve anything without money, plus, there were a few improvements they could do without unless they got an overabundance of coin, which was more or less never…

He read the sums, it was going to cost, but he had feared the most vital things would be out of reach this time, his eyes ran over the numbers before he sighed and nodded “Ok, as soon as Ratchet brings the pay ya can take the Knightess and go shop around a bit, I think I can get you that and a little extra if the Rat doesn’t try to scam us”

Brandon wrinkled the paper as his eyes looked at the human, as if to make sure as he asked “Is that all?”

Knightess couldn't help but offer a wide grin, folding her arms as her hips swayed gently to one side, eyeing the Captain.

'In case you're attacked by a lethal number of oranges, Captain?' she chuckled softly, 'I hear that those grapes are shifty, too.'

She tilted her head in thought, 'I wanna stay here and deal with the engine – the little sweetie's been wheezing oil like you wouldn't believe – and your pressure levels are about to hit through the roof. If I don't release the guage, then we're all going to blow up in... well, not-nice ways. The vaccuum outside would eat us up.' She shrugged. 'To prevent that from happening... can you get me...'

She paused, swinging her upper torso like a naughty child. She grinned.

'Can you get me some ice cream and a pair of gloves? Yes? You will? Great! I love my Captain!' Without another hesitation, she pecked the man on the cheek and pelted up the bridge, laughing audibly, scampering past Daven's ship.

"Well, there be the Ion shielding generator which is actin' up, the med-bay could really use some new supplies, and..." Jesus stopped when he saw the captain's glare at him and grinned. He gave a friendly pat on Brandon's shoulder. "... but this will do for now. Thanks, Cap!"

He gave a quick friendly salute and moved by Brandon to find Knightess, who then bolted past him. "Eyy! We need to discuss thees-" he stopped talking as soon as he noticed she wouldn't come back and shook his head with a smirk underneath his moustache. Shady, dangerous deals and wild, pretty girls jumping about on the ship, and a lifetime's worth of fixing machinery and people.

    For Jesus, it was heaven.

Ty watched everyone almost laughing "at least I'm not asking for anything..." she purred to the captian, "did you need help with anything? I can help with whatever you need..." she stood up smiling at him as it seemed the crew had their own plans.

Her golden eyes watched him with curiousity as she walked closer her smile showing her teeth. She fixed her shorts and laughed a bit.

Being a Captain was tiresome work; luckily his crew seemed so inclined to push the decisions on him, be it one way or the other, he still needed to verify his numbers, but so far he didn’t thought it would be that troublesome, getting the repairs and some sweets besides the usual percentages for every crewmember…

Tarisas’ request was simple enough, some fresh fruit and sweets, however that didn’t stop him from frowning as she kissed his cheek and walked away without even waiting for a reply “I’m not gonna buy ya a damn candy-store I warn ya!”

Brandon just nodded at Jesus before it rushed away behind the Knightess

When Ty came closer he couldn’t help but smile back at her, his own fangs showing as he did, his eyes looking at her in consideration, his eyebrow raising for a bit as he thought about it just for a moment “I think we may have a job to do…
Gotta go see a man about it, but I don’ trust ‘im”

"Well captian I have nothing to do yet, all my stuff arived yesterday and has been put away. I have nothing I need at the moment... so I can come with if you'd like" she offered still smiling at him. She had her hands on her hips, she was tall yet still shorter then him.

Her eyes looked as everyone seemed to run off. She returned her gaze back to Brandon. "After all your the boss... so whatever you need" her golden eyes watched him as one of her ears twiched listening to everything around.

Knightess' journey was a simple one. The concave entrance to the engine room was not privy to any particular person, the doors often kept wide open. In an emergancy, two thick, lead doors would close tightly, securing the machinery from intruders and foul play.

The shape of the engine room was circular, with the grey floors decorated with metal parts and old tools, used to the point of becoming blunt and dented from age, sweat and prescition. Overseeing the works were the various posters of men and women, hiding the deeper-grey walls by advertising out-of-date drinks and ancient, mandatory visits to theatrical stage and cabarets, as well as strange maps to places that the Dragonfly never had – and probably never would – visited. Central to this dome of course was the large, spinning motors and the bulky mound that was the engine, humming with activity as Knightess fiddled with its various compartments.

Since it twinned as a bedroom, there was a matress, hidden by a blue, transparent sheet of satin pinned to the side of the walls. It behaved like a tent, obfuscating the rest of the world as the mechanic slept. Her own little corner carried with it a simple lamp and piles of books, the front titles too faded to make an impact, yet the brown pages within kept a simple clarity to them.

Everywhere else in this small corner was dotted with mirrors.

The thick, robust, if not primative charger connected to the wall leading to the back of her neck was suitable confectionary for her veins as she finally tacked off the guage to the ship's fuel tank. What she couldn't consume in proteins, her body did in electricity, the downside to the earlier cyborg models. If it ever bothered her, it was clear that the engineer would never show it. Not now.

Even with a small spanner in her mouth, the cyborg still managed to ring off a tune, muttering the lyrics faintly, returning to hums should she ever forget the words. The ice in her eyes glittered with knowing as her pale fingers softly tracing the engine like a curious lover, the cherry-smile on her lips ever constant. The appearance of a delicate frame dealing with heavy, bulky machinery could have been considered amusing, if it wasn't for the fact that Knightess knew what she was doing. Afterwards though, she had disconnected the charger and sat back to stare at her sweet baby girl, purring away like the cat got the cream.
