“Then it’s a date” The Captain answered simply, his eyes studying Ty for just a few seconds longer then he absolutely had, his almost glowing green eyes gazing into her yellow cat-like ones before breaking away from it, making his way towards the insides of the ship, just reaching for the main door out of the cargo area, looking really for one of the panels in it to find the communication link, pressing quickly a few buttons before making the announcement so it could be heard everywhere within the ship…

“Captain’s goin’ out, kids better be nice while I’m away…
The Knightess is in charge till I get back” With that done he marched himself back towards Ty, his own hands making sure he was carrying everything he might need, manly his wallet, keys and guns, it would do him poorly to find himself dealing with Pain without his weapons.

    “You ready?”

She nodded smiling and followed him "always ready captian" she laughed a little and looked around and looked back at him. Her cat like eyes glowed as he made the anouncement. Her ears twiched once more as her tail swayed in content.

"Besides I'm not one to sit around and do nothing" she added standing next to him with a smile.

Just as Brandon and Ty were leaving, Daven emerged from his shuttle with a scowl etched across his worn face. He looked old beyond his years and may have been handsome if only he would ever smile. The noise had finally gone away, but it wasn't something he was going to get to enjoy any time soon. He carried in his right hand a large duffel bag, nondescript and unassuming, while a small folder was in his left. The mercenary quickly made his way to the engine room. He had only been on the ship for a very short amount of time, but already knew the layout perfectly. There were hiding spots and concealed places for storing cargo he was sure he didn't know about, but as far as general areas he knew them all. He ducked through the concave entrance and found exactly who he was looking for. A soft, rap was made against one of the walls before he said in his indifferent voice, "Captain says you're in charge, whatever that means. I have some business I need to take care of before we leave. I shouldn't be gone long, but if the captain gets back first let him know. He has my frequency, so he can call me back when we need to leave."

At the sound of Daven's knuckles against the entrance, Knightess froze. The cyborg didn't look at the assassin, but her fingers had clenched the edge of the engine, her palms becoming impossibly white under the quiet chagrin hidden from his view. Her stomach seemed to roll over, an inaudible wardrum growling at the back of her throat. After a pause, she lifted her head and laughed, the high sounds ringing through the air like wind dancing through glass chimes, looking over her shoulder with a wide smile, her eyes barely avoiding his.

'It means,' she responded through her chuckles, 'that if we're attacked, I will be shot first.'

She nodded quickly, turning back to her work.

    'Ah... have fun.'

"Knightess. Knightess! Damn it, Kni-" If he could have, he would have finished calling out her name again, but unfortunately he bumped into the hit man named Daven. Jesus was knocked back but grabbed onto the side of the entrance and managed to keep on his two feet. He rubbed his nose and briefly touched his moustache, as if to make sure it was still there.

He looked up at Daven who seemed unmovable, forever emitting his deadly aura and smirked. "I reckon we should make you some type of statue. You would most surely scare off our enemies just by lookin' atcha!" Jesus chuckled and shook his head as he looked at what Daven was wearing. "Too much black, they wouldn't see you... hitman. Aaah, now I see. Clever man!"

Jesus said all that not expecting much of a reply back, and turned to look around the corner and saw Knightness. He frowned. "Say it aint so, Knighty. You're in charge? We're supposed to go shoppin' soon! On the boss' card!" He waved the file around with the purchases they had to make for the ship.

Daven noticed how nervous Knightess looked when he entered the room and spoke. At any other point the hitman would have been very pleased with that reaction, and he was still pleased that he had that affect on Knightess to some extent, but she was a part of the same crew as him. He wasn't entirely sure how the others felt about his presence, but even one person with an issue was one too many. The gunman didn't offer her any comfort. There wasn't a part of his personality that would allow him to give anyone soft words. "No it doesn't," he said quietly, his voice deadly, "Because if we're attacked, I'll shoot them before they have a chance to shoot you. The captain pays me for a reason."

Before he could turn to leave he felt a body collide with his back. The force didn't budge the hitman an inch. He turned to find the mechanic-doctor adjusting his mustache as if he feared it might have been damaged in the collision. Daven scowled at him. Being the ship's hired gun, Daven had already been injured and in the ungodly rough hands of Jesus. His life had been a rough one and he had suffered more than his fair share of pain along the way, but even he would admit that he couldn't figure out how Jesus managed to cause more pain than he fixed. The money the captain was paying him was the only thing that had kept him from shooting the man the first time he needed patching up. Daven ignored his words and turned, exiting the engine room. He might have said something, but as he had told Knightess, he had business to attend to and was out of time.

The hitman's absence made Knightess' knotted muscles recline somewhat, glancing up in time to see Jesus stumbling into the man's dark form. She grinned slightly, waiting until Daven's back had vanished past her line of sight before her eyes drifted to meet her fellow mechanic's form, her smile broadening.

'What needs fixing? Drat, I should have asked Daven for ice cream. Then there's double the fun! Then we could recline and have some coladas! That Kingsley 105 has been sitting under my bed for the past month!'

"Errr," Jesus looked on his screen and tapped a few times and looked back at Knightess. "The sequence flux needed to be re-calibrated. The rest we need them parts for. But..."

Jesus moved and grabbed a stool from the corner, jumped on it and spun around until he was facing her, his arm resting on the edge of the engine. He pouted his lips slightly, having a comical suave expression on his face. "Well then, m'dear Cap'n. We could always be havin' a few of them drinks. Y'know. Ta help us think better!" He grinned.

The Captain guided her outside of the ship, into the people filled docks of Persephone, one of the few places where it was still common to find other enhanced making their living on such a peaceful and ‘civilized’ planet, so they could mix with the crowd at least for a bit.

“This guy’s a bit off and a bit nasty, but he likes me, well, not exactly, he does call me ‘brother’, but he ain’t no family o’mine, ‘kay?” He felt like explaining, but at the same time he wouldn’t like to get into it on the street, besides it was a bit complicated, so he preferred to kept quiet and continue walking, frowning a bit.

It took them a few minutes to make their way through the crowded and hot streets, escaping the long shadows cast by the many ships on the afternoon sun, finally reaching what seemed to be, more than anything an abandoned ware house at the end of the less than reputable district that was the Docks, but if you were careful, you could see a small silver spoon hanging from every street lantern…

They walked closer into the heavy door, closed

“By the way, he might make a big fuss ‘bout little things, but he wouldn’t start anything at his house, respect that rule and he is easy to handle”

Ty watched him nodding with a smile. "Should i act any different?"
Her golden eyes watched him and the other people with half interest.
She straightened out her clothes as her tail seemed to sway behind her.
"And if you dont mind me asking, what is the purpose of seeing this person?"
Her smile was warm as her fangs showed.

Ty was normally not so social, yet something about this town seemed to bring it out. The locals were not so hostial to enhanced which she enjoied. However it wasn't common to see someone enhanced with such a rare beast. Her hands beside her as she continued to walk beside him, she was glad to be out streching her legs a bit. She hated nothing more then to be "caged up" like a tiger in a zoo with nothing to do.

The sun felt good on her lightly taned skin her red hair held up as she took a strand from her face.

The target's name is Donald Felix. He owes me a good deal of money for a job that fell through about a year ago and hasn't paid up even a cent. The man disregards threats like they're worthless so I figured it was finally time to make him. I know for a fact he's got some expensive merchandise hidden away and a key to the unit he owns is always on his person. I've got a man watching him at the Grinsworth bar in town but I don't trust any of my men to take care of him quietly or cleanly, that's where you come in. Felix won't be there much longer so get there quick, my man will signal you when Felix leaves, that's when you do your thing. Kill him and anyone who might get in the way, make sure my man leaves with that key and the money's your's. You've already got my deposit. His description and details about the bar are in the file I sent you. Good luck.

Daven scanned the file on his handheld as he made his way into town quickly. He found the bar easily enough and quickly picked a building adjacent of it with a low roof lined with a thick wall. A service ladder lead him to the roof and his perch practically picked itself as he moved without a second thought to the best spot on the roof to conceal himself while he carried out his task. The duffel bag was slung to the stone beneath his feet and its contents quickly emptied and assembled. Within moments the hitman held the rifle from the center of the wall in his shuttle, complete and ready. He added a silencer to the barrel before checking the action, drawing the bolt back and listening for the satisfying sound of the metal slide and ejector working fluidly. The soft, metallic scrape of oiled steel was oddly relaxing to Daven. He removed a magazine from the bag and checked the rounds one last time before sliding it home and giving it a firm hit with the heel of his palm to ensure it locked into the gun properly. He drew the bolt back again, loading the top round into the chamber before resting the tripod on the wall before him.

He knelt there, silent and unmoving, as if he had become a part of the building, until he heard a man speaking quickly into his ear through a communicator. His target was about to leave the building. Daven watched carefully, resting his cheek against the buttstock of the rifle and adjusting the scope as a group of men exited the building. He waited patiently until he saw a man fitting Felix's description. The trigger pull was silent and the gunshot almost soundless. A soft whisper, the faintest hint of a gun going off permeated the air and Felix's form was replaced with a faint puff of red as he fell to the ground. A man standing just to his left immediately drew a pistol as people panicked and scattered. He too fell to the ground with a bullet in his temple. The hitman watched as a man he knew to be his clients employee darted through the startled crowd of people, quickly raided Felix's pockets and took his wallet and a set of keys before disappearing into the confusion.

Daven kept his eye on the scene through the gun's scope a few more moments before quickly disassembling the weapon and packing it away. He was down the ladder and gone another moment later, leaving no trace of his presence there, having even pocketed the bullet casings.

Knightess grinned at her fellow conspirator, turning from the engine to gently rummage around behind her tent, picking up the bottle and staring at it. Obscured from view, the cyborg's eyes softened at the sight, her lips parting slightly to sigh soundlessly. Hollow. She had lost the original bottle – but regaining another time and time again was enough. She could even recall the dog-flaps of the label, where she had thumbed it so often, the amber liquid chuckling yellow in the light.

She tilted her head, picking up two lonely shot glasses and went back to the engine, sitting opposite Jesus with a slight grin.

'Only a couple,' she said softly, 'you need to stay sober.'

“A job, it’s always ‘bout a job” The Captain answered as he looked at Ty for a few seconds, almost as if he was considering something, but then he just shook his head, if he really thought she would cause trouble, he wouldn’t had brought her along on the first place, his hand banging on the heavy metal door in a very specific rhythm.

    Once, twice, thrice…

It was followed by a moment of silence.

And just as it might pass anyone else to go away or try to find another entrance, came the same rhythm, right from within the door.

Brandon sighed and made another sequence of bangs, slightly different this time around, his heavy knuckles hitting on the metal at least three times before the door opened, revealing a heavy set, almost too round bear of a man, broad shouldered and dark eyed, a brown and thick beard covering most of its face, but the snout still too obvious despite it, fangs showing slightly as it growled its words, pointy ears moving just a bit in alert “Captain Wolfgang…
Mr Ulf’s being waiting for ye”

“That’s why we are here, Ulf said he’s got a job for me and mine” Firebrand answered with a flat tone, obviously not intimidated despite the bear was at the very least a head taller than him.

Without another word, the guard led them into the dark warehouse closing the door behind them…

    ________________

Meanwhile, back on the ship, someone was also banging on the door now…

No other then ‘Rat’ himself, this time having more muscle with him as well as a few motorized vehicles to carry the boxes away, despite all of which, he didn’t seemed happy at all.

Ty almost laughed to herself, being enhanced with tiger, the dark seemed all to inviting. Her eyes followed that of the large man. She did however stay close to the captian. Her tail was close softly twitching as if she were ready to attack if needed. Her golden eyes seemed to scan the warehouse making sure there were no tricks. Her hands at her side.
She smiled as her right ear twitched, she could hear more people talking in the distance, but she couldn't make out their speech, almost as if it were a new language to her. She looked over to th captian and gave him a short glance before looking ahead again. She desided silence was fit for the setting. Her red hair still up in a ponytail on top of her head.

At the sound of the first rattle on the large doors, Knightess was already on her feet. She had perhaps had been a little too expectant of their guests. Nonetheless, she advanced towards the other side of the ship, the sound having bounced across its hollow interiors.

'Stand by,' she stated, pulling the switch against the wall to open the doors, the sudden clunk and the easy squeaks shifting open the dust-crusted metal. She met Rat's grotesque glare with a cheerful smile. 'Hello there.'

Within the warehouse the basic space of what once might have being filled with boxes or any other sort of goods, this one contained what seems to be a rather old, really old ship, yes, even older than the Captain’s Dragonfly, probably made a good decade before the war…

It was heavy, build closer to a tank than a modern space ship, a massive laser gun prodding out of the very front of the very angular, almost rectangular build, pointing directly at the warehouse’s door, six heavy prodding and thick legs keeping it from the ground, rust and dust sitting on most of it, only the massive cargo door open like a gaping maw seeming to still have common use, light and a bit of laughter coming out of there, soft music echoing too

The Captain didn’t seem surprised that they were keeping a spaceship so old without any use, only sighing as the Bear-man guided them into the ship…

Within they could find a group of enhanced, sitting around and talking.

The biggest of the three was a massive, monstrous mix of man and wolf, unlike most enhanced, he hadn’t stopped once fur came about, not at all, his whole head was a massive wolf’s head, glowing yellow eyes and a massive fanged maw, sharp ears adorned with silver earrings, the long fur ebon black, made into a sort of Mohawk on the back of his head.

Half lying against the wolf man, was a beautiful and thin girl red feathers instead of hair, her features sharp and long, flowing wings on her back, eyes closed as she danced against the wolf man, her clawed hands caressing his fur.

Last of them and slightly less jovial was the small man with sharp features, glowing eyes much like the Captain or the other wolf man, but covered in reddish fur, his smile turning into a snarl as he saw them come in “Seriously?
    Fuckin’ Wolfgang?”

“Nice to see you too Robin” Brandon said with a sarcastic tone as his eyes met the shorter man, his gaze quickly going to the wolf man, who was pushing the girl away to stand up, strangely enough almost seemed to be happy, if one could recognize a smile from a snarl on that maw, his voice came rumbling, almost like a thunder “Lil’ Brother!”

    _______________________

Rat didn’t like her, actually, that was probably an understatement, men like him don’t usually find it endearing when a girl could pretty easily put them in their place, it’s one of their many charming qualities, the fact they like to look down on women.

It was obvious on his face as soon as she open the door, even if the rest of his crew seemed rather pleased with seeing her, 6 in total, not one of them enhanced in any way, biological or otherwise, or so it seemed at first sight, one of them was obviously fat not muscle, another was quite tall and probably quite capable in a fight, at least for how it stood, the rest were average in stature, slightly heavy in build and all of them had guns on their holsters, one of them going as far as to try fixing his hair a bit, another of the goons smiling at her, one of his teeth missing in it-

“Where’s the Cap’n?” Ratchet demanded more then asked, looking around suspiciously; Brandon had a point in nicknaming him rat. He always seemed to react like one

Ty stood almost behind him now, her ears twitched 'a cat in the middle of a pack of dogs' the thought almost made her laugh until she hurd the word brother. She looked over the group and smiled a little. She waited for the guys to finish their greetings before she spoke up.

"I'm Tymika" she said respectfully yet cheerfully. She always introduced herself to peoplewho didn't know her by her real name. Yet she prefered ty. Her tail was now wrapped around her waist as she watched them with her glowing golden tigers eyes. Her ears listening closly as if anything would happen.

'You're looking at him. I actually killed him and ate his liver,' the cyborg replied cheerfully, contrary to the malignancy that was pregnant in Rat's voice, 'but the real story is that I'm in charge in his absence.'

In truth, Knightess was barely paying much attention to rat – it was his friends that she had taken the briefest of interest in, particularly the shiny pea-shooters against their waists.

    Limbic System engage at 30%.

'So,' she said sweetly, 'you're going to have to chat with little ol' me.'

A pause. She now eyed the boxes.

Logic Levels at 45%. Holistic levels at 5%.

'This seems a bit excessive for payment, Mister Ratchet. Did I miss something?'

"Yeah," a firm voice sounded from behind the armed men, "You missed the part where he has to look stronger than he is, so he brought the muscle." Daven's approach had been a silent one and his presence went completely unnoticed until he spoke. He pushed past the armed men as if their weapons meant nothing to him, stalking into the ship with a dark expression on his face. The hitman was about to make his way to his shuttle when he stopped just beyond Knightess. She was in charge while the captain was away and the Rat and his men didn't look like they wanted to play nice. He sighed. His shuttle would have to wait. This was a situation that needed overlooking. He turned and moved to a wall, leaning his back against the cold metal and folding his arms. His red eyes regarded the Rat and his men over the frame of his sunglasses with a slight scowl hovering over his brow.

Jesus had followed Knightess and appeared behind her, looking past and seeing the Rat and the boxes on the motorized vehicles. He was holding a big wrench, but when he saw who it was, he put it back behind his belt. "Ah. Good stuff." He said, stroking his moustache briefly.

Unlike Daven and Knightess, Jesus seemed to pay no mind to the thugs and the way they were armed, recognizing the possibly tense situation, but calmly ignoring it. He figured it wasn't his task to worry about this. All he had eyes for was the stuff they were bringing in. He walked passed Rat basically ignoring him and put a hand on the boxes and nodded approvingly. "Righto. Could you put thees over there, buddy?" He said, giving a friendly pat on the huge muscled arm of one of the thugs closest to him, and pointing inside the hangar. The thug gave an annoyed grunt, but Jesus was already trying to direct the loaders inside.
