Tianna watched in have amazment before shaking out of it "how?.... yeah we shall continue" she shook her head with a smile and shrugged it off. Desiding it be better to just continue on,' I'm sure he saw what he needed' she thought as she watched the old man move and returned her look to remy.

    "Interesting..."

Fascinated, Santeria sighed much like a young girl would when gazing at her first crush. Swords and dark magic...it was a match made in heaven.

How long she stared in rapture she didn't know, snapping out of her trance as the blade vanished from sight.

"Pity. I like evil-looking shiny things."

Sitting back in her chair, she used one finger to casually erase the image that had been floating lazily on the surface of the water in her scrying basin.

She recognized the place where the two had been standing. A field outside of town, she ought to be able to meet up with them in a few minutes if she got moving now. Standing, she carefully emptied the water from the basin into a small jar. After wiping down the basin, both it and the jar were placed carefully into the large black trunk at the foot of her bed. Shutting the lid gently, she ran a hand lovingly over the old leather and brass, whispering the words that would ward it against unwelcome hands and eyes.

Quickly taking stock of the room she had rented at the local inn, she nodded when everything was confirmed to be in place. Grabbing her belt from where she had casually tossed it across the back of the room's only chair, she fastened it and settled it around her waist as she crossed the space to the door.

Looking over her should once more, Santeria closed the door and locked it behind her, sliding the key and it's chain around her neck and tucking both into the collar of her shirt.

With the practiced ease of someone who was well used to pretending she knew what she was doing, she strolled down the hallway and out the inn's main entrance. She was nervous and caught herself twitching on several occasions, eventually taking her hands and shoving them in her pockets. It kept her hands busy and out of sight; people didn't like to see the crackling magic flicker over her palms...it made them edgy.

Laughing to herself, she set out on the path that Remy and Tianna had taken. She recognized them from files she had been given prior to setting out for the rendezvous. It would be interesting to finally meet them face to face.

Priya caught up with the two just as Tianna showed her skills with dark magic. She didn't like to interrupt, so she just stayed in the background to observe. When another man arrived (Dimitri, she presumed), he didn't really take notice of her. But then, that was to be expected. Although when they all decided to split ways, Priya had to speak up. She hoped she wouldn't surprise any of them, and tried not to speak too suddenly.

"Should I walk with you two or stay behind, or does it matter?" she asked, more of Remy than anyone else. Not out of disrespect, but Remy was the leader of the mission.

Remy had a bad feeling. Deep down to his core, he had a slight feeling of dread gripping his soul that held tight. The feeling was lifted slightly when Priya spoke to him. It seems she was swift on her feet and had a knack for moving in silence. He couldn't sense her movement until she was at his back.

*Someone like that as a foe would surely be fearsome.* He thought to himself.

Looking out of the corner of his eye at Priya, he thought for a moment and answered. "You may come. We will need you to survey the surrounding areas when we meet with the informant and also when we are making our move into the Caligo." With that he turned and began walking.

The sun was beginning to set on the horizon. The first few pinks and oranges began to show in the sky. But, Caligo. It still remained the quiet and desloate icon in the distance, covered in a haze of fog.

They would have to make camp sometime soon.

"Nice to see you again priya, I trust your travels went well enough" she said warmly fixing her dress as they walked. Her blue eyes scanned the skys, "remy, its going to be dark soon. I believe in about a half an hour or so." She spoke respectfully, after all darkness was her best friend. And if she was her then the enemy had to like dark too.
Her fingers moved a curl from her face as she ajusted her heavy black bag.
Her smile grew as the time passed. "How far to the randevouz?"

Priya again kept her eyes on their surroundings, but there really wasn't much to see; it was getting darker. Twilight was the worst time to scout, really. The sun hadn't completely left, but the moon hadn't really come out, and there were no stars to light the way. Her eyes couldn't get used to the dark, because there wasn't quite darkness yet, but the light wasn't quite enough to see by. If anyone was planning to attack, this would be the most opportune time.

"Quite boring, actually," she softly replied.

As the awful twilight progressed, Priya started getting paranoid. She wasn't sure if it was just her normal paranoia or something more; maybe it was just the time of day getting to her. In any case, it'd be better if they played it safe right about now.

What had that old man said about the locals not liking outsiders? Could it be that the locals would go so far as to attack simple travelers on the road to Caligo? No, that was... silly. If they made camp right outside Caligo, maybe it would be different. But this was in the middle of the plains!

"Maybe we should keep a watch out tonight," she commented.

Dmitri walked back to town, grumbling about how ungrateful youngsters were these days. He filled up his gas canteen and walked all the way back to his car. For a trip that shouldn’t have taken more then one or two hours at most, it was well into the night by the time that Dmitri came to his car again. He was sore was all of the walking and he was out of cigars (‘I should’ve bought some when I had the chance, Dammit’), making him more irritable than normal. He fumbled in the dark to get the gas into his car and poured half of the canteen’s contents all over his shirt and pants. Dmitri cursed some more and kicked his beloved car in a love-hate relationship and got into the driver’s seat. He turned the key, nothing. He turned it again and applied some pressure on the gas. Still nothing. Praying with eyes closed, Dmitri turned the sky for a third time. This time it worked. “Halleluiah, Praise be to me!” shouted Dmitri in a joyous movement of energy, which he shouldn’t have done because another wet coughing fit came over him suddenly and it was a full two minutes before the coughing spell subsided enough for him to begin his journey to the next town where, he hopes, a room is available at the nearest inn in regard to the town’s entrance.
