Manya (not sure if we want to make up a last name let me know Risa) is the quiet and seemingly stoic companion to Adelmo. She is kind and soft hearted but hide this behind her mask as a Justicar (Paladin marked by the Justice rune). Though honestly she is not judgmental, she sees facts and will simply state and sometimes enforce the balanced and fair outcome of a situation. Manya secretly enjoys the antics of her companion however she rarely will show it in public. She is a master swordsman with a unique fighting style that blends both rune magic styles of the west with precision striking techniques from the east. It is only her quiet demeanour which leaves others to judge her in their own ways, making them believe she is stoic and cold, rather than serious. Encouraging this judgement is perhaps Manya's foreign complexion, for she is a “mingled” - a person of two bloods, belonging to neither.

Description: Manya is a mingled (of mixed blood human from the west and TBD from the Eastern continents). Her skin is a dark shade of the far west, but her deep brown eyes shine with the studious glimmer of an Eastern-dweller. Dressed in what she believes is the “pompous outfit” for a Paladin, Manya chooses a black, hooded cloak to place over her guarded shoulders. On the back of it, there is an interesting mark which is neither of Eastern or Western origin, adding mystery to the girl. Over her back however, is a thin, silver sword – partly for speed and the other is the light handling of the blade and a shield.

I am picturing the geography of Pyra to be almost a giant circle of continents. However for the current focus I am having is on the empire. I will start putting in what I come up with here.

The Zaelian religion serves the seven gods of the Empire. The empire gods are sort of council of religious guidance to the High Magisters of Zael. The gods themselves act more as teachers to the greatest magisters to help them perfect their mastery of rune magic. The are treated as honored guides on the path of magic which all the empire's citizens strive to perfect.

The Order of Saints are servants of the gods who directly serve their wishes. In the rare occasion the council of gods and the council of high magisters don't agree the saints can act on behalf of the gods and help nudge things in the gods preference without the gods seeming to openly stand against the high magisters. Saints are most commonly fey with strong ties to the god they serve. However on occasion mortals who show excellent talent are accepted.

    The seven are as follows:

Nidra - Goddess of the high lake. Mistress of the flowing currents of water and time.

Ythra - Goddess of the great cities. Mistress of stone and solid foundations. Also the Lady of Martial Prowess.

Yin - God of the fair winds. He is master of travelers. Often associated with street performers, gypsies, and even thieves in some cases. Yin is thought to have an interesting sense of humor and likes practical jokes.

Sa'id - The high judge. He is responsible for judging all things. This is of particular importance for the dead whom he decides which is worthy of having their soul purified and returned to the ether, who will be forced to stay chained to the mortal realm to atone, or other various penances for their mortal lives.

Uhiar - Father of life and growth. He encourages all things to become stronger and better. He is most often followed by farmers.

(Risa feel free to correct me) Manya is a seeker of Justice. However her perspective on what is just can often mislead the common person. In many cases Manya does not feel it necessary to intervine directly into a conflict or an injustice but instead allows a natural justice to instead occur.

Examples include a boy steals candy from children and eventually becomes fat and picked on by the same young people he stole from earlier in his life. A snake oil salesman who steals peoples money by selling a fake product who in return later loses his earnings by accident which comes into the hands of an orphanage.

Manya believes that natural justice occurs in most cases often not as forward as the ones listed above but everything balances out. This allows her often to stay out of the way and in fact secretly do what she wants to in the name of justice particularly against her own personal peeves (Which we can start to come up with).

Dueling: Is a part of Feissian history. In ages past many conflicts were settled in a one on one duel between the women of Feiss and there opposing faction's champions. These duels allowed settling of disputes with the smallest loss of life and damage to property. Historically the women of Feiss were masters with blades with great renown across the continent, though few fully practice the art in the current age as it is seen as old fashioned. In the lower noble houses the practice is significantly more common and used as a political tool for gaining power and support from opposing houses since duels are still considered a legal means of settling disputes and their outcomes are binding by law.
